| Dr. Jessica Marie Johnson researches black diasporic freedom struggles from slavery to emancipation. As a digital humanist, Johnson explores ways digital and social media disseminate and create historical narratives, in particular, comparative histories of slavery and people of African descent. This lecture by Dr. Johnson presented by the Code as a Liberal Art and Historical Studies departments, is the first in a new series, Speaking Code: A Public Lecture Series on Code and the Liberal Arts. |
